The small island hadn't provided Mr. Ching with much information, but he had gotten some useful Pokemon from the cave. On his way toward Krtuso, he made a report of anything significant he had seen. The next island would perhaps be of more interest.

There were lots of people at the docks and it was quite noisy. When he came ashore, Mr. Ching looked around to see what sort of people travelled through here. Were they strong Trainers? Any military? Mostly children and young people? Such detail could be important and had to be reported. His boss was very found of long reports.

A young teen boy approached you, who seemed fond of Fire Pokemon; he even wore red!

Among all these people, it did not come as a surprise that someone wanted to fight. Mr. Ching sent out Flamer, his crocoal.

"Go! Tackle attack!"

It's been a while since his last battle, so Flamer looked eager to strike.

So it was to be a battle of fire on fire, then. Ordinarily one would expect this to be a spectacular fiery showdown, but no, this is the world of Pokémon and using fire against itself is disadvantageous, so the Pokémon on both sides resorted to bodily Tackles.

The enemy monster looked quite bored, yet its attack had been almost as strong as Flamer's own. Mr. Ching believed his Pokemon could win this battle and commanded another body blow attack.

Flamer leapt forward to tackle the sturdy-looking monster. The crocoal was fast, but too eager to take time looking for any weak spots.

The two fire typed Pokemon tackled each other once more with increasing passion in the fight. The results of this round were similar to that of the last round, however. The Numel simply wasn't holding up well.

It appeared that Flamer was always a step ahead. It would take a while to bring down the bulky-looking monster, however. Hopefully, its body was mostly fat and it wasn't as strong as it looked. Flamer would have it down soon.

The crocoal tackled again, eager that the enemy was soon defeated. The furry monster was so excited, that he did not pay much attention to the damage he had taken himself.

Mr. Ching did not mind his Pokemon being so confident, for it was clear who was going to win. Unless his opponent was lucky, Flamer would be victorious.

Again, Flamer slammed into the Numel, who was now evidently on her last legs. The boy looked a little frustrated as his Pokemon returned a slightly less powerful attack.

It couldn't take much more to defeat the other Pokemon. It looked rather weak now. Flamer was eagerly continuing the tackles. He had taken some damage by now, but wasn't too badly hurt.

This was it. One final attack and the Numel would be done for. And it was clear that Flamer wouldn't have much trouble delivering the final blow.

Flamer finally showed some signs of getting tired, but the other monster was barely present any more. This could be the chance for Flamer to play around with his victim, but Mr. Ching was serious and told the crocoal to do the final tackle. One body blow and the enemy would be done for.

A final tackle was enough to finish off the Numel, but Jeremy had another Pokémon up his sleeve. He sent out his next partner, hoping to be able to slow down Mr. Ching with his other fire type Pokémon.

What could this serpent do? Probably it would try to coil and squeeze Mr. Ching's Pokemon, a normal attack, but there was also a risk that it would bite.

"Return, Flamer!" he said and called back the crocoal. He sent out Gravendou instead. "See what your fury attack will do."

The spiky monster looked small before the red snake, but did as he was told and slashed out at the enemy.

Gravendou was seriously outmatched. It was doused by Water Gun, leaving it holding on by a thread. In a final desperate attempt, it fired its spines out, 4 of them landing on the Wyrmal. It still barely dealt any damage, however.

What?! A water Pokemon! Mr. Ching had only one Pokemon who weren't weak against water. The only way he could defeat that snake was to strike first, thus he couldn't change Pokemon either. He would have to sacrifice Gravendou in order to send out a new monster. The snake was not only of the wrong type, but was apparently very trained also, considering the small amount of damage Gravendou had inflicted.

Mr. Ching cursed his bad luck and commanded his Pokemon to attack again. The Gravendou was in doubt, but trusted his Trainer and prepared another fury attack.

At the same time, Mr. Ching wondered how strong that snake really was. If it was so well-trained, then why hadn't it overkilled his rock Pokemon? Perhaps it wasn't as powerful as it looked and even Flamer would have a chance against it.

Gravendou tried to hold on a bit longer, but the Wyrmal bite down on the rock type, knocking him out and luckily for you, taking damage from the barbs on Gravendou's back.

Mr. Ching called back Gravendou without a word. It was Yersinia's turn now. He sent out the bucarat and called for a scratch that might poison the enemy.

The little rat looked scared at first when it saw the big snake, but then Yersinia's expression turned to one of anger. If she was going to fight this Pokemon, then she was at least going to inflict a lot of damage upon it. The bucarat bared her poisonous claws and went to attack.

Unfortunately Yersinia wasn't able to do much damage at all to the Wyrmal, and nor was she able to Poison her opponent. To make matters worse, Wyrmal's Water Gun did just enough damage so it wouldn't activate Yersinia's Oran Berry, meaning she won't be able to take another hit.

Mr. Ching was a little surprised that Yersina had at least been a little faster than the enemy. Hoping that she would be able to strike first another time, he commanded a scratch attack. Seeing that his attacks had little effect, he started to wonder what was the difference in strength of Pokemon on this island and where he had started off from. However, this Trainer could be from anywhere.

In an unfortunate turn of events, it turned out that the Wyrmal was actually faster than Yersinia, chomping down and KOing the poor rat.
