Mod Note: Let me know if this team is too strong for you.

"You seem like a strong trainer." a young woman spoke to you as she approached, "We just had our third gym battle and we're looking to keep our lucky stream going. Name's Julie. Be sure to remember it. You'll one day get to say you were defeated by me when I'm the champion~"

Ace Trainer Julie wants to battle!

"A Dasfix huh?" Julie said as she pulled a small notebook from her breast pocket. After thumbing through it for a moment she continued, "Seems to rely mostly on physical attacks, and since my Emperobe is weak to both of its types, we can't have you doing that. Emperobe, take its attack down!"

Giving a cute chirp, the clothed insect began to Charm the non-existent pants off of Dasfix, making the stingray not want to attack as much... But he still had to. Reluctantly, Dasfix swiped at Emperobe with his bladed tail, but it didn't seem to as much as it should have...

Emperobe used Charm! Dasfix's attack harshly fell...
Dasfix used Cut! It's super effective! [-22 HP]

"Alright, with its physical attacks neutralized, we can focus on breaking Dasfix slowly. Emperobe, use-" Julie was cut off for a moment as Dasfix was pulled back into his ball and replaced with a raptor-like dinosaur, "Camouflage... Thanks for ruining our plan, kid!"

Emperobe laid against the bridge, the colors of its robe shifting to to match the planks colors. It changed just in time, as this new beast staring the arachnid down launched an energy-fueled boulder. As the rock struck, it didn't seem to do that much. Could it be from Emperobe's Camouflage?

"Well... I guess that works. Go, Emperobe~!"

Return, Dasfix! Go, Dyferal! Foe Emperobe's attack fell~
Foe Emperobe used Camouflage! Emperobe's type changed to the Normal type!

OOC: Edited Ancient Power damage from previous turn to account for both STAB and Stone Plate

"I think we know what to do with this one," Julie stated, quite confidently. The battle was swinging in her favor in terms of type advantages, especially with camouflage unexpectedly working towards her favor. The next move she commanded  introduced a vortex of glimmering light and magical energy around the dino-mon.

Dyferal was weathered slightly by the strange and colorful attack, but stood strong and released his own vortex of fire that enveloped the bug. The flames burned hot for a minute, but then faded away. The Emperobe's previous attack somehow succeeded in dampening the outcome of the received assault.

Foe Emperobe used Fairy Ring! It's Super Effective! (-26 HP)
Dyferal is trapped by Fairy Ring! Dyferal can't escape!
Dyferal used Incinerate! (-20 HP)

"Alright. Now that we're pretty much set up, go with a kiss Emperobe, and drain that dino down!" The Ace Trainer called out enthusiastically. The bug pursued Dyferal as the dino ran around in circles to avoid the suddenly creepy creature. On about the fourth go-around however, he tripped and landed face first. Emperobe was upon him instantly, giving his such a sweet kiss that he wondered why he had run in the first place. That was, until he began to feel weakened by the drain of energy.

Hearing his Trainer's call, the rock and dragon type pushed the Silk Clothing pokemon off of him and then lobbed his giant rocks at her, effectively canceling out what the bug's fairy's typed attack had given her. Dyferal felt immensely stronger after the ancient rocks had connected, despite the obvious drain to his stamina. However, that fairy ring that had been placed on him decided to come back for another round, leaving the Vicious pokemon much more weakened than his opponent.

Still feeling powered up, Dyferal started to move again, faster than ever, and hurled a pile of rocks in quick succession at the the terrifying bug that loved kissing him for one reason or another. The rocks struck fast and hard, almost knocking out the enemy with a single blow. But the Emperobe was stronger than it's frail-looking body let on, and fought the hate with more love. The parasitic creature latched onto Dyferal once more, draining his life with a killer kiss.

The strange attack left Dyferal almost unconscious on the ground, a state of being that was finally obtained when Fairy Ring drained the remainder of his life force.

"You're going to have to try harder than that if you want to beat my impeccable team!" the Ace Trainer, Julie, taunted. She was a seasoned trainer, that much was clear. However, how much of this small victory on her behalf could be credited to lady luck? It was difficult to tell at this point in the battle.

Out of her pokeball with a flash of flame, Virlich was ready to take revenge for her fallen teammate. As she gathered her flames for the attack Lee had commanded, the Ace Trainer gave a gasp and said,

"Oh! A Virlich. That might make things a little more tricky. Emperobe doesn't have any good attacks against a fire/fairy, and I doubt she'll be able to withstand this next attack. . ." By the time Julie was done talking, she had been mumbling to herself. But then she perked back up and called out to her bug. "Okay, Emperobe, use Wish!"

Emperobe closed her eyes and seemed to glitter in the sunlight, but when she opened them, nothing seemed to have changed. Virlich spat out her flames to incinerate the bug and fairy type, but after the fire went out, the Silk Clothing pokemon was still standing. Surprised, Julie let out a little "Oh!" and then smiled.

Foe Emperobe used Wish! Emperobe made a wish.

Hmm... The Ace Trainer mused. What to do now? Emperobe may or may not last long enough for the Wish to take effect. But perhaps the Silk Clothing pokemon had a small chance? Julie ordered an attack that had been used before and hoped for the best, crossing her fingers behind her back (and praying to Lady Luck). As luck would have it, that small amount of strength the bug had sapped from the fire fairy had been enough to withstand the flames once more, and Emperobe suddenly glittered brightly. Once the light had faded, the Silk Clothing pokemon stood a little taller, having caught her second wind. But would it be enough?

Wish wouldn't be useful a second time, surely, and so Julie decided to stick with about the only move that seemed to be of any use to the Silk Clothing pokemon. This Trainer most certainly had a full roster of powerful pokemon, based on the ones she'd seen so far, and if she wanted to win, she had to do all that she and her pokemon were capable of.

Emperobe jumped onto Virlich again, giving another kiss that drained her of energy, but gave her a small boost. It was destroyed, of course, by the fire spirit's flaming attack -- but by the Emperobe's standards, it could have turned out a lot worse.

The Ace Trainer sighed. This was going nowhere very quickly. But Draining Kiss seemed to be the best and most effective of the attacks available to the Silk Clothing pokemon. . . Perhaps she should switch her bug out for one of her other pokemon that might be able to finally end this near stalemate of a battle. But then again. . . Oh, whatever -- might as well stick with it.

"Emperobe, try using Fairy Ring again!" Julie called out.

The bug and fairy type glowed and suddenly, there was a constant swirling energy around the fire sprite. However, Virlich seemed to be about as bored and annoyed with how long this battle was dragging on as Julie was, and his next fiery attack hit a weak spot on Emperobe, nearly ending the battle right there. Julie cringed, seeing that that last attack had nearly done her bug in.
