A Brief Intermezzo - Part 1
#1
"Huff... urf... ugh... Damn that old... freaking man..." Groaning and whining, Cecilia slogged her way up the Acoatyl Tower's steps, looking like death and wreaking of sweat, her thick green coat drenched and wrapped around her waist, "He said nothing about having to walk this much!"

Trailing behind her, Misumi was looking beat as well, though thanks to his wings, his arms were more tired than his legs. He hopped over the final few steps, using his wings to get a little air. Even if he couldn't fully fly, they were certainly useful.

"Hey Mis.. Misa... Bird, you're a water thing. Water me before I wilt to death!"

"Spraw?" Misumi looked confused at the command. It's not like he had some pathetic moves like your run-of-the-mill water types. No Water Gun or Bubble. He had to use the next best thing. Placing his wings together, a sphere of water forming after a moment. The attack pulsed in his wings, almost like that of a still beating heart. With a gulp, Misumi tossed the Water Pulse at Cecilia, hopping back in fear of how she might retaliate...

"Ahhhhh, much betturgh..." Jolting up from the refreshing blast, Cecilia paused, then began looking around the area, a dazed expression on her face. She stood, scratching her head, "Man, my room looks different. I wonder if mom cleaned it while I was at school."

"S-Spraw?" Misumi was startled by this sudden change, though he did fight back a chuckle as his trainer took a seat on a stone and began 'typing' away at something that wasn't there. Seems his Water Pulse's confusion can affect more than just pokemon. Taking a seat in a small patch of grass, Misumi decided to relax and let the confusion wear off naturally, though he wished Diana and Sufi could join him. The view of and around the tower certainly was a romantic site. Shame it didn't sound romantic...

"Mom, answer that damn phone already!" Cecilia yelled before going back to her 'typing,' hunching over like she does when she's on one of the Pokemon Center's PCs. There weren't any phones nearby, but there was an odd sound ringing in the air. It started to make Misumi feel strange...

Little did the two of them know that nearby, a swarm of electric bats had been sending out Supersonic waves, and with the two being right at the tower entrance, they weren't able to avoid their mind-altering influence. With Cecilia now on a Skurp call and chatting with someone that probably didn't exist, and Misumi now curled up, now thinking he was inside an egg again, some of the wild pokemon began to approach, also under the influence of these hypnotic waves...

OOC: Per the previous post/thread; Pokemon have been exchanged, items changed, items added to inventory, money deducted appropriately, and Dasfix learned [Shock Wave]! : )

Finding the human and bird in their weird positions, two confused wild pokemon approached. One was a brown bird holding a leek or some green stick in one wing. He poked and prodded both the human and the Spraylet as they went about their odd motions (or rather just the human; the Spraylet stayed curled up in a ball). The other creature was a black-furred dog-like pokemon who looked like she had small wings of some sort attached to her sides. She snickered at everything and then sat down to clean her fur, or perhaps she was doing something else entirely?

The black pokemon held back, oddly enough, waiting for the first one to do whatever it was that it wanted. Seems that the second pokemon will wait until the first pokemon is gone, but will probably step with up to the plate immediately.

A Wild Farfetch'd appears! A Wild Tianglis hangs around in the background!

"Quit it. Stop it. Stop. St- mom!" Cecelia yelled out as she swatted at the Farfetch'd, leading to the two having a slap fight, "Dad's pestering me! Make him stop!"

Meanwhile, Misumi continued to rock back and forth, cooing as he started to roll around, some times bumping into the preening Tianglis.

Watching this madness from the safety of her pokeball, Seviper began to bounce and thrash about as she tried to get out and join in on the fun. Finally bursting free, Seviper let out hiss that sounded joyful to her but would sound like just a typical snake noise to anyone else. Her joy quickly faded as the sounds echoing out from inside the tower struck her, sending the viper into a tizzy. She began to walk around on her crooked coils instead of slithering, walking around as if she had feet like her mother did. In her haze, she clumsily bumped into Farfetch'd, who retaliated with a poke with its stick. Thinking this new thing wanted to play, Seviper bared her long red fangs and gave the duck a playful yet poisonous nibble.

The Farfetch'd squawked loudly as Cecilia swatted at him, and the resulting slapfest caused a number of feathers to fly from the bird's wings -- that was, of course, until Seviper appeared and tried to join in on the fray. Having poked the weird thing, Farfetch'd was not expecting it to try and bite back as it did so and ducked in anticipation! Seviper lunged toward her new plaything, but ended up on the ground with her face chomping on a rock. The brown bird laughed his tail feathers off at that and then tried to slice the air around the snake, but somehow only succeeded in wrapping himself in it.

'That is the worst potato ever!' Seviper thought, spitting to get the taste out of her mouth. She scanned the area, the world around her distorted from her confusion. When her eyes locked onto Farfetch'd more, it was less a live duck and more... a cartoonish cooked duck rolling in the grass with a leek coiled around it. It's amazing how people can make a cooked meal laugh. She wondered if having a sense of humor would make food even tastier...

"Thevipaaa~" (That looks sho good. I bet it tastes even betta~)

Not bothering to walk or slither this time, Seviper instead coiled and launched through the air toward with mouth agape at the delicious-looking entree.

Meanwhile over on the other side of Insanityville, Cecilia was playing on an imaginary handheld game, while Misumi was loudly gnawing on the actual game system stored in his trainer's bag.

(Going for another Poison Fang as I question why I got myself into this mess.)

The Tianglis in the background huffed and continued laughing at the strange visage around her. There was the strange creature, it might have been vaguely human, doing . . . something -- she didn't know. And didn't really care. The thing that had bumped into her before looked to be enjoying itself with its head stuck in some . . . thing she couldn't identify. Thinking it looked fun though, the dark and flying type wobbled over there to join the Spraylet in his joyful gnawing-on-objects. There was a lot of ignoring of the snake and bird in their odd dancing -- at least, the bird was dancing.

As Seviper's springing action brought her closer to her target, her vision cleared -- if only for a moment -- and she easily aimed for the Wild Duck pokemon, bringing her purple-dripping fangs closed on the creature -- who before had looked like an already cooked and seasoned dinner. The Farfetch'd unfortunately knocked himself silly again and not only suffered that humiliation (if he was even aware of it), but also the lingering effects of the black snake's attack.

Nothing new seemed to happen between the trio not in the so-called 'battle,' the three continuing to go about their business; Cecilia yelled at her game for being cheap while Misumi stood on all fours, playing tug o'war with the black bat-thing, both growling loudly as they fought over the expensive toy.

On the other side of the field, Seviper was playing with her dinner. It looked so succulent and tasty. Not nearly as much as a living pokemon, but it was the next best thing. Coiling around the 'roasted duck,' the crooked snake opened her maw, only this time with her fangs retracted. She couldn't take it. It just looked so damn delicious that she started to drool, her spit a thick purple, bubbling ooze. Only it wasn't spittle, but instead a Venoshock that Seviper had built up in her daze. Would she finally get a taste, or would her confusion get the better of her once more?

The tug o'war ended when the Tianglis gave an almighty tug and ripped the toy from Misumi's grasp. She gave a sneering laugh, even though she wondered what it was she had in her mouth; she still had a feeling of pride and accomplishment. Dropping whatever it was on the rocky ground, the dark and flying type proceeded to ignore the thing she'd been playing war with and found herself a new target that looked really fun. It was a strange looking rope moving about on its own -- namely, Cecilia's Seviper. It looked like a better chew toy than the other object and Tianglis half-flapped half-ran her way to doggy chew-toy heaven. Laying near the moving rope was a discarded lump of feathers; the wild Tianglis paid it no heed.

Tianglis wasn't the only one who stood with pride over their victory. Seviper couldn't recall why she was chewing on this feathered squeak toy she found, but when some new dog-faced thing came running... flying? Thinging over, she assumed it wanted her plaything. Rearing up, Seviper Glaring hard as she let out a loud hissy 'Vipaaaa,' though in pokespeak it was more "No, bad dog. My toy. Bad!"

Meanwhile, back in bizarreberg, Cecilia and Misumi we're on their backs, looking up at the 'night' sky as the befuddled trainer pointed out the various constellations that may or may not actually exist. I'm sure if someone sane were around they could not only correct the girl, but tell her that night time is still a good nine hours away...

"There's the uncooked Krabby Nebula. OH, and and Machoke's Belt! Which is suuuper weird. Why would a pokemon evolve a fashion accessory out of no where... or briefs? So weird..."

In her dopey state of being, Seviper could somehow make out the black blur moving towards her, with the attacking wild Tianglis sure that she had locked onto the strangely moving rope. The last thing Seviper wanted was for her new toy to be hijacked by the oncoming thief. The wriggling snake wrapper her tail around the limp feathered body and lunged off to the side in an attempt to get away from the mass of black. Unsuspectingly, the confused reptile ended up diving directly into the path of the Tianglis that had started to veer off-course. Cecilia's scaled friend was somewhat damaged from the unpleasant meeting with the crazed canine's thick head, but her primary concern was that there was a blatant empty space in the coil of her body that she had wrapped around the tasty chew toy. The very much disgruntled Seviper was now fuming, and turned her fearsome glare towards the dark blob that had caused her separation from the toy. The snake's eyes met briefly with the thieves', but long enough to freeze the Tianglis in her tracks.

Meanwhile, Misumi and Cecilia's astrological adventure was suddenly interrupted as the unconscious body of the feathered 'chew toy' came spiraling down and landed smack in the middle of the stargazers.

With the loss of her chew toy, Seviper was looking for something else to play with. This big black thing might do. She could get a little payback for throwing her feathered plaything away. Her mouth once more drooling with thick purple ooze, she went into for another slobbery attack (and ignored the fact that Venoshock is long range, but hey, you can't tell a muddled snek nothin'!"

As the battle raged derped on, Cecilia was now using this soft, feathery thing that landed by her as a pillow as she continued to star gaze at the afternoon sky, while Misumi returned to chewing on his own toy, only this time instead of nibbling on his trainer's handheld game, Cecilia's pokedex was his next victim. The poor device could only let out a mix of beeps and crackles, begging in its robotic voice to please stop.

OOC: Well... bugger. x3 Also tl;dr, another Venoshock if you would.

With a pained hiss Seviper's tongue lolled out of her mouth, dangling out with her maw wide open. What happened? Why did her mouth hurt? Did that big batdogthingwhatever do this? How dare she! These were thoughts flooding Seviper's befuddled mind, never realizing she was the cause of her pain. That didn't matter to her now. With her mouth opened wide, she was now drooling profusely. With a loud disgusting gargle, the fang snake spat out a glob of ooze, the likes of which would put even the greatest of Invicunya to shame!

Seviper, still quite angered by the pain in her tongue that the voodoo dogbat creature had placed upon her via a curse potentially, readied another venoshock attack. She whipped her fragile head back quick enough and far enough that she actually ended up on a collision course with a tall statue that conveniently stood behind her within Acoatyl Tower.

The wild Tianglis, still trying to secure its bearings after hitting the floor, was still attempting to figure out what was what. Her sight was crossed, her there was a ringing in her ears, and all she could spell was the appetizing aroma of chewtoys. Nonetheless, the canine learned nothing from her recent mishap and collided once more... this time with the wall.

Returning back to Cecelia's pokeballs, Diana, after sitting and watching this madness for long enough, had enough. Bursting free, the Lilligant collected each empty ball and recalled Misumi and Seviper before the former destroyed anything else belonging to their trainer (and keeping the birb from incurring her wrath) and to keep the latter from hurting herself further (since that's all she's done this fight. Damn RNG)

Not exactly ecstatic about facing a flying foe, Diana approached the dazed beast and let loose with a Giga Drain. It wouldn't do much, but if she didn't stop the noise everyone was making, she wouldn't be able to enjoy the lovely music the Transmite were producing.

Don't eff with a music-lover's tunes, yo!

Tianglis, who by now was in a serious amount of pain from smashing her head on almost every surface of the room, shook herself into high alert mode and for a moment was able to scan the room without seeing right as left or down as up. She looked around just in time to see the sneaky rope she had been following absorbed by a flash of red while a slightly annoyed giant cabbage plant approached her. Tianglis really wanted to catch the slithering rope, so the vegetarian meal that presented itself in her wake appeared rather unappetizing. Nonetheless, Tianglis started to hop side to side and attempted to taunt Diana. If the dogbird couldn't chase the rope, she'd have to at least play around with the moving plant to fill the void. But somehow she froze before she could finish the Taunt, and that was when she remembered the haunting glare that the coiling rope with the scary eyes had given her earlier!

Diana wasn't really having any of the dark types antics and started to absorb the very life out of the poor Tianglis. The attack certainly wasn't super effective by any means, but perhaps would get the Tianglis to take things a little more seriously. After all, Diana just wanted to listen to the songbirds without interruption.

Being unaffected by the hypnotic song of the creatures dwelling within the tower, Diana was free to fight however she wished. Not that she wanted to cause this poor beast more harm, but with the confused bat-like monster attacking her comrades, she wasn't about to go easy on it, especially with its type advantage. Worried about what possible flying-type skills the tiangou had in its arsenal. With a twirl, a yellow seed sprouted from the dancing plant sprite's crown. Tossing the seed, Diana could only sit back and watch if it would take root on the Bad Omen pokemon.

By now, Cecilia had gotten up and started prepping her lunch. Walking over to a freezer that wasn't there, pulling out a bag of hot wings that didn't exist, placing them on an imaginary plate and putting them inside a totally-real-but-not-really-real microwave. Setting the timer, the befuddled teen folded her arms and tapped her foot impatiently, and once her boredom had reached its peak, she pulled a gaming console out of her pocket, when in reality it was a piece of wood she picked up minutes before.

When will this insanity stupidity end?!

Lucky for Diana, the seeds she planted indeed took root of the wild Tianglis that faced her. Managing to overcome the confusion that had beset her once more, Tianglis was prepared to stomp out the cabbage plant with a wing attack, but froze once again as she did in the previous bout. The bad omen Pokemon's was clearly on the wrong side of lady luck today, and was weakened further by the seeds that had rooted and grabbed hold of her.

With Tianglis effectively rendered a non-factor in this battle, Diana's attention turned to the tower. The creatures inside had become louder, sounding more agitated by the minute. The plant sprite had thought about preparing herself for whatever she might have to battle next... Until she heard a loud, annoying voice behind her.

"Oh my Celebi in an Arcues' Bidoof! Shut up already you stupid Poochyena!" Cecilia yelled, rummaging through her bag and tossing what he thought was an alarm clock through what she thought was her bedroom window. Only this white clock had a different function. With a high toss, the sphere split open at the red lining, attempting to pull the bat-like creature inside!

"That outta shut ya up! Can't even write my fanfic with all that stupid noise..." Cecilia said, setting another 'clock' next to her just in case the noise persisted. Taking a sitting position and typing away at a laptop that never existed, Diana could only watch and shake her head.

"Li-laaa lagann..." (I don't know which is worse; Awake master or stupid master...)

With a mistaken toss of a glossy white pokeball, the bird-dog creature that had been terrorizing Cecilia's team was trapped within the capsule. It shook once, and then twice. The Tianglis wanted to fight back with all of it's strength so it could play with the cabbage and rope some more, but it's potential brain damage and paralysis made it too tall of a task to take on at this point. The dark type submitted, and was sent to Cecilia's PC accordingly.

While Cecilia and most of her team weren't consciously aware of the fact that they just gained a new team member, they were indeed aware of the loud-noise producing object that was floating in the air above it. Maybe it was a firework? Maybe it was a rocket? Well, whatever it was, it wobbled around wonkily through the air singing what it thought was a pretty song, but actually sounded obnoxiously bad with the confusion that had set in.
